Observation Tower, Tucaneta Trail, Charapa Trail

We will start the day with a delicious breakfast first thing in the morning to begin a short hike through the forest that will take you to the observation tower. Once there, your naturalist and native guides will help you find different colorful birds and even some monkeys.

On the way back, you can walk along the Tucaneta Trail and learn about the healing properties of some of the ancestral plants that are still used today.

After lunch, we will visit the Charapa Trail, a loop trail where you will be able to see different mammals, including some monkeys and different species of birds.

At the end of the day, we will take a canoe ride to observe the sunset and the nocturnal fauna, which is also a perfect opportunity to stargaze.

Parrot Clay Lick, Mandi Wasi, Coto Trail

A delicious breakfast awaits us first thing in the morning to go by canoe down the Napo River to the clay lick. Here you can observe hundreds of parrots and parakeets that take advantage of the nutrients and goodness of this incredible place.

After experiencing this natural show, we head to a Kichwa community, where a local woman will introduce us to the community’s history and daily life.

A new trail awaits us after lunch, the Coto Trail; this hike takes us from the Lodge to the Garzacocha Lagoon, a place that looks like something out of a fairy tale; the sun’s rays pierce the trees showing the unique beauty of this forest.

Departure

An early morning breakfast will be served before departing to the airport in Coca, a representative will assist you until you board the plane. Return flight to Quito.
